10. You are all wrong. Beck's discussion of Liberation Theology is right on the mark.

I think that most people are looking at it from the perspective of what it means. The reality is that the meaning is irrelevant. Beck uses terms like this to sound intelligent to his ignorant audience simply by using terms that they have never heard of. Simple as that. I can almost guarantee you that when Beck is asked a question and can throw out a bunch of terms like Liberation Theology and some of the new ones that he is tossing around, his audience just thinks to themselves "Wow, just look at how brilliant Glenn Beck is! I don't even know what any of those terms mean, but he knows so much. I better buy some gold from this brillian man". It is simply an image, one that probably works based on how fucking stupid his audience is. If I adopted it and bought myself a "Learn a New Word each Day" calendar and just started throwing words into conversations that nobody hardly ever hears, my friends would laugh at me since they are smart enough to know that I was just trying to look smart, but it was totally fake.

11. Liberation Theology is like asking "Have you read this book"?

I remember this trick a while back when somebody asked me about a book that came up in conversation. His first question was "Have you ever read that book?" and my answer was No. From that point on, he can just make shit up about it since he knows I never read the book. If he did a good enough job of it, I might think he is pretty well read and deep. After all, I would not know the difference.

This is not hidden. These people are very up front about their fascism. I was impressed with this, particularly
the positioning of Bonhoeffer and the Liberation Theology movement as an anti-Nazi movement in South America. The
horrendous dictators of the 60's through the 80's were the force of fascism. When the church clamped down and
quickly eliminated the Liberation Theology in Central and South America I remember thinking, this is really bad
news. And it was.
