1. Dispiriting. I'm one of those disabled Gulf War leeches.

I was an RN. A very highly paid professional. Think anyone wants to hire a nurse that has several seizures a week? But, oh, well. I guess fighting in three wars over over twenty four years and having a grandchild that might have paid the price in a rare birth defect seen predominantly in Desert Storm vets doesn't hold a candle to tax cuts for the rich. This guy is a piece of work. But, even he, the Repubs, and Obama aren't the ones that I'm the most disappointed in. When are the American people finally going to say "enough!"? Where are the riots in the streets, the pitchforks and torches? People in this country are cowering in corners like abused children; powerless and defenseless; terrified of their abusers and of making any noise that will make the beatings start again. My countrymen that I fought for--who live in the land of "the free" and the "home of the brave"--have parked it in the land of the economically enslaved the home of the helpless pussies.
I've shot my wad. I can't even summon Cenk's outrage. Every day brings new abuses on the heads of an American populace that just curls up and takes the kicking over and over again. Or even worse, lashes out and bites at the hands that are reaching to help them. Stick a fork in you, America; you're done.

3. I'm old ; the young are working too hard for too little or not interested

I don't know of anyone, any age, that has means if they have the knowledge to get off work and protest etc. and we all see what those that have the means think because they watch Faux et al. We've been routed by the RW since 2000 (maybe Bush I), as it were, which is why I'd like to know how Obama got through the primaries. 3rd world America.

I'm sorry to hear it. I can't even believe how we treat veterans... in an interview on The Young Turks they were talking about how they actually take veterans who ask for treatment for psychological disorders and lock them up in torturous conditions (on "suicide watch") until they sign a statement saying it was a preexisting condition. Despicable.

I can't believe ANYONE, much less Obama, would defend such horrible statements. The fact that this person holds any position of public responsibility is proof that the Obama administration is not on our side. Where is the limit? There is none.

They're putting this on the table to see if there's a reaction. Write your Congressional representatives and senators. Write letters to the editor. Excoriate the Commission, rip Simpson a new asshole. Throw a fit like teabaggers do when the wealthy are asked to contribute to promote the general welfare. Do not go quietly into that dark night.
They're just waiting for the bulk of us to get old and feeble to where we won't go hunting for them in their DC enclaves.
Veterans unite, assault the Congress and their media handmaidens. The last thing they want is trained killers pissed off and marching on DC, demanding our earned benefits. The well armed teabaggers will look like sniveling punks compared to angry veterans.
