1. Reich completely ignores the main causes of this structural problem

Those causes are the conservative war against unions, the rise of outsourcing, and the health care cost crisis which is sucking business profits that should be going to workers.

I am all for making the rich pay more taxes, but reversing these three trends is the only way to get our country back on the road to prosperity. Make it easier for workers to unionize. Demand that all trade deals include provisions to ensure high standards of pay and working conditions throughout the globe. Allow the federal government to compete against health insurance companies.
