1. Rachel...
is perhaps the best explainer of current issues that we have. Between her and Amy Goodman I feel as though things can be accomplished and that I can be part of the accomplishment.
Hurrah for this!!

may be able to explain thing for you but she wasn't able to let people know that Hillary Clinton knew what she was talking about when she said Obama would not be able to combat the right wing smear machine . All of which has come true even to this day she bashes the Clinton even calling Bill the best Republican president ever what a insult to the best Deomcratic president since Kennedy . At time she is a joke ....

4. Sigh...
How do we get the sheeple who swallow the mendacious ramblings of the GOP to watch Maddow? How do we help these poor souls understand that the wealthy elite is NOT concerned about their welfare?

5. Man, not a moment too soon #1 allow the 10 year deficit raising tax cut for the richest 2% to expire
Edited on Wed Sep-08-10 06:05 PM by GreenTea
Ten years of the rich not paying their fair share - and not a single job created - money just went for their own selfish pleasures and their greedy off-shore money hiding accounts!

#2 pass the new Obama's tax cuts bill for the middle class and small businesses!!

6. BIG PROBLEM HERE - go to 9:05 video time on the video

And, play it over and over and over again....

These are REPUBLICAN policies being opposed by Republicans because Obama is proposing them.

Something is REALLY wrong when everyone is cheering about Obama 'outsmarting' the Republicans by stealing their policy ideas and then turning it against them when they oppose them.

Yes, it makes the Republicans look ridiculous.

But, it makes his democratic base look utterly and impossibly stupid. YEAH. Obama is going to beat the Republicans by becoming one!

We elected a DEMOCRATIC President. NOT a Republican President.

If you back track about a minute before the 9:05 video timeline, and watch til the end of the video you can hear all the wonderful corporate friendly proposals Obama is getting ready to implement.

Fool me once...shame on you. Fool me twice..don't get fooled again or something the ex-Republican President once said.

16. Here:

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Better%20Believe%20It/193

Tax cuts for corporations....

No real money transfer to the people...

End result? Subsidizing corporations to send jobs overseas. See link...

Is a charming speech really all it takes to be led further down the same dark path?

What a sad game this has become...

12. I don't get it.
We're supposed to endorse/vote for/encourage other people to vote for/elect Democrats
to Congress so they can enact legislation Republicans favor?
And that makes Republicans look stupid?

14. Republican's first loyalty is to their fucked up party.
Edited on Thu Sep-09-10 09:04 AM by olegramps
It is long past time for the working class people to realize that Republicans hate every concept that the Constitution enshrines. The Constitution was written by the most progressive people alive during the 18th century who advanced the most liberal concepts of the age. In today's environment Republicans would refuse to ratify it. Free speech is only guaranteed to radical fundamentalist nitwits. Not to gays and lesbians who should be silenced. Free assembly is only the right of Tea-baggers and the some ignorant bitch like Palin who have to right to incite their racist mobs to commit violence. Freedom of religious worships only applies to Christians. They would gladly repeal the laws that outlaw discrimination under the guise of owners' having the right to refuse to serve minorities along with those who are not Christians. Especially if they are GLBTs. The religious nuts' representatives who now dominate the Republican Party would strenuously oppose the right of women and any minority the right to vote. It should be the reserve of white males who have every right to beat their wives and children senseless as the head of the family. A good women keeps her mouth shut and keeps a clean house. They are convinced that Public Schools are hell holes that destroy the kids morals and are run by Communists and would replace them with brainwashing academies. Cops are always right and have the right to beat the shit out minorities who dare question their authority. In summation to not belabor the point, if they had been in power they would have shred the Bill of Rights.

It's the biggest problem and the one no one has wanted to talk about, until, hopefully, now.

18. Obama didn't "figure out" SHIT. He shoved his ass in our faces and now..
before election time: "Well boys, we'll have to BLOW SUNSHINE up their asses again if we want to play some more."

The shame of being a Liberal in this nation is HUGE! So many dupes and willfully ignorant dead weight.
