It will just make me want to spend what little I have left! Well, that's assuming that they won't be advertising givin the stuff away, of course.
In reality, why not? They advertise liquor and it is much, much more dangerous than pot.

2. First - anyone who calls it "pot" gets no say about how to deal with it. Grass - OK. Dope - OK. |
|
The "new" term weed - OK. Even shit - OK. But pot - sounds like Tipper Gore complaining about music. No legitimacy. Second - when it becomes legal, there is no reason not to advertise. Third - think of the market-pairing possibilities...

6. Cheer up. Try saying it when you're stoned. Sounds perfectly suitable :>) |
|
We used the term at Woodstock. We can use it now if we choose. Don't be a dictator. I think you need a "hit".

"Weed" has been around forever. Nothing new there. "Pot" is extremely common terminology up here in the hills of Northern California. Our guerilla gardens are called pot patches. The folks who tend them are "pot growers".
Your response might have been appropriate if the term in question had been "muggles". :hippie:

3. ..at least it's not an infomercial for a drug to "help with that special part of a man's anatomy"... |

Considering what CRAP they actually do sell on TV, I don't have that much of a problem with this.
I WILL say that I too would like to see some 'warnings' (don't drive) and I don't think that airing this now, right before the referendum, is politically wise as it may rile up the slippery slopers out there who may be energized to go out and vote against it.
While the man had a point about it not being regulated, HE WAS WRONG - IT *IS* REGULATED. That's why you need a prescription!
My biggest problem is how thin the majority is to legalize it in CA. I would think it would be more like 60/40.
...and that RT babe is hot.

4. I'd be interested in seeing the listed side effects at the end of the commercial: |
|
"Side effects may include lethargy, munchies, and euphoria."
Sound so much better than PharmaRx "Side effects may include hair loss, palpitations, coma and death."

5. Yes. The peddle every pharmaceutical they can on tv. They keep calling pot a "drug". So peddle on |
|
We all know pot's NOT a drug. It's an herb. Grown by God. The hemp alone from the plant could help bring this country OUT of recession and create hundreds of thousands of jobs of all kinds. The sale from pot with the taxes they would slap on it, would bring us a surplus. I just hope they keep the chemicals OUT of it or people will return to the blackmarket. Don't forget to let us know how to get it! I'll be a regular customer if they don't get ridiculous. This would be a calmer, happier country and the food business would BOOM!

With great guest, a cooking segment (cooking with pot), music, as well as interesting interviews, with plenty of pot commercials during the breaks....It's a syndicated show and I watch it every Friday night on a local television station in San Francisco.....(No, it's NOT PBS, it's a regular commercial television station).

Pedro and the Man (Cheech Martin, Tommy Chong) might not be the most creative thing for advertising, but you can get very, very creative...
How, can you? Well, shit...
