1. What kind of a show is that. I don't recognize it. Where are the blond bimbos?
Is that what they call "news"? I haven't seen anything like it in years.

8. Gregorian;)

Thank you, I am working on it, but as you say my engelish is far from perfect.. And I do have some problem to write down what I really mean somtime.. But my old Oxford Dictionary is a good tool when you are lost in the intricate engelish language...

And when it come to news. I dont know what the fact is in US, but you dont need a blond bomshell to get pepole to see the evening news.. Get the truth out, and try to educate pepole, and you may get a better educated goverment too.
Thing about it.. Once in the times, American news media was admired around the world.. But that is 30 years ago, and before the "Fox news" and CO.... Now they dont exactly admire the american news organiziation...

In the old times, under the cold war US work hard to get the people educated, not just becose of the "evil empire" but becouse US was one of the greatest nation.. US used billions of dollar on school.. And they even managed to get man to the moon in the prosess.. Now even India is into the race to the Moon, and they wil probelly manage to have a base there long before the old US is going into high gear.. Where is the great educated middle class in US, who many decades before Europe had two cars, on to the ms and one to the mr.. Where is the great educaded middle class in US, who even have the Microwave own long, long before it was a household in Europe?.. Where is the American flag, who ONCE was someting the rest of the world look up to?.. Where is the COMMON Sence American, who really understand what it was about, the Democracy thing you know.. And who dont behave as a school bully. The government of US are like a school bully who behave bad when dont seen, but who cry "everyone is against my, becouse I am the biggest boy". That the other in the playground have some great issues whith your behavening are not what the school bully thing about.. And NOBODY DEAR TO TELL THE GOVERMENT OF US what US are doing wrong.. Not face to face whit the President of USA...

9. We live in dynamic times.

I understand your statements. I hear an "older" mentality in your words. I saw the world you speak of. And I grew up in the world we live in now. The world has changed. Not just the United States. Most of the change is related to population. We had everything we needed. We had farms and small businesses. The shoe repair in each town. But we continued to grow. We wanted two cars per family. Our consumption in these numbers gave great power to the corporations. The small shoe repair gave way to disposable shoes. Like Nike. The farms turned into chemical food factories, forcing out larger quantities than the smaller farms could produce. And now we are finding that even our media is misrepresenting the truth. Where once we had real news, now we have partial news, or entertainment news. Or even outright lies. And it is done in order to further the consumption that the corporations are used to, in order for them to survive. We're caught in a viscous cycle of our own making.

I see a new world now. Where we were once concerned with the brand new modern society, we are now being forced to look more seriously at the bigger picture. Now we are a world that is twice the population of when we were in the 1950's. Now we are having to think smaller rather than bigger. Maybe two cars in each house is not even realistic.

And all of this happened over a very very short period of time. Maybe only 100 years. Extremely rapid change is occurring.

I believe the solution to problems is simply to tell the truth. It hurts me to see the perspective you have. I feel the same way that you do. I saw a wonderful place here. And I'm very disturbed to see such apathy and gross consumption. We have ignored the warning signs. And now I fear where this society will end up.

That's my dark intuition. I'm one of few Americans who is willing to look at the truth. But even as I do so, the rest of the world wants what America has. And so I also fear for places like India and China. It's a burden to be aware.

We're going to see interesting times.

Edit- I want to add that it gives me great hope that you would be concerned about this country. I feel that we need the guidance and help from those on the outside of our borders. People who have a rich history and knowledge of worse administrations than our own. Americans take this free life for granted. I very much appreciate your words. I, on the other hand, know next to nothing about the world outside my country. How selfish and ignorant that is. I worry that it takes a crisis for people to change. I may be ignorant of history, but I am vigilant in the present.

2. This is hard to believe.
I thought the latest word from Mr. Pervez Musharraf was, "Do not interfere, U.S.".

And yet we read accounts of US troops in Pakistan, at this time.
