EAT UP says the popular family seafood restaurant Red Lobster. As more and more waters are open for commercial fishing in the poisonous Gulf of Mexico due to the BP Oil Disaster, The government has given a green light to feast. Although there are no designed chemical tests to pick up dispersants in seafood, restaurants like Red Lobster are flooding the market with discount coupons. How does the Central Florida based Darden eatery deal with the reputation and risk of contaminated seafood?


***The video says the Red Lobster spokesman said they would be addressing the Gulf contamination in their literature by the end of the month. That was in August. There is nothing on their website one month later.

2. Well I was just struck by the fact the corporats promised to provide info

on their webpage more than a month ago and still have not. I am surprised people are still eating seafood from any Gulf area restaurants. I would be very concerned about the amount of chemical contamination. One would think seafood places would do independent testing in order to reassure consumers. And more than just a sniff test or some blather from EPA saying the fish are safe after the oil passes through their digestive tracts!
