I am all for taxing the crap out of the rich but am curious to know how much we would all like that tax to be?

I'm thinking 90% is a nice round number.

I love the U.K idea of the government getting our paychecks, deducting the taxes, and then sending us what's left.

Can't think of a better more fair system than that.

They declare most of these money streams as unearned income which is taxed at a lower rate or as tax deferred or tax exempt income. Progressive taxation, up to 90%, on all income sources (with the possible exception of municipal bonds and legitimate non-profit investment) is one possible answer. There are others. But the notion that the rich carry the rest of us with their tax payments is a pretty hard sell, even when you own the mass media.
