Is the US moving towards a violent confrontation with China? The conditions make it seem that way.

I mean really, you can get the same message by reading the Economist. Other than a proforma plug for revolution at the very end, it was boring.

What happened to all the great slogans like "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun". Oh, but I guess it doesn't anymore. How about "Political power grows out of the manipulation of our currency". That's catchy!

3. If there is ever a war between China and the U.S. it will be fought

primarily from space and it won't last long. Which ever power achieves full space satellite weaponry first will be the winner by default. The loser will be informed electronically that it is over.
Probably no shots will have been fired.

The reason why this scenario will not happen anytime soon is that China is making more money now under the current set of circumstances. How would they profit more by enslaving the U.S.? (Not to mention the fact that there are some other very resourceful Countries that might be able to inflict more damage than China would want to risk.)
