Pat Buchanan inappropriately compared Craig's hypocrisy problem to Senators who were alcoholics, which resulted in one of the other panel members kicking Pat's ass for being such a dumbass for mischaracterizing being gay as a "disease."

4. Did Pat Buchanan once say...

.."We want our culture back!", from the podium of the 1988 GOP national convention? If so, a part of the culture Buchanan yearns for would have to include keeping all gays in the closet. And that would especially pertain to the likes of conservatives such as Larry Craig. Yes, the GOP certainly OWNS the Senator. Like it or not, he's a real-life symbol of the repressed attitude that has forestalled him and countless others from a more healthy expression of their innate sexuality. Once caught, the Senator Craigs of the world will ultimately seek to conceal or deny their actions, not only for personal reasons but to avoid damning scrutiny of their past anti-gay stand and votes. Too late, becasuse nobody's being fooled.
