1. Oh Mike, it is so much worse than this.

When Reid had some very strong strong willed Democrats who wanted to have a Decent Financial Reform Act hit Congress, he subverted their ability to get that done, and conspired with several of the more shady Republican House members to water down the bill.

Lucky for us that We the American people can find out about these shenanighans through Matt Taibbi's awesome journalism in Rolling Stone.

Both Parties are beholden to the Major Financial Institutions, Big Oil, DoD and the Big Insurers.

The average person is so sold out and so trod on and spat upon that it is ghastly.

Meanwhile over in Ireland, where the Government really works for the people, the government bought up the Bankers' Toxic Assets, (same as here) BUT then went ahead and credited any home owners who were about to default on over priced property with the monies already given to he Big Bankers.

These Irish are the government officials worth having. Maybe we could get some of those honest people to immigrate over here.

Or maybe we could OUTSOURCE the House And Senate jobs to the Irish!
