1. If the FBI gets them today, they'll get US tomorrow.

Or, as the Holly Near song put it

It could've been me,
but instead it was you.
And it may be us, dear sisters and brothers
before we are through"...

Paster Niemoller said there'd be days like this.

4. Some of the organizations involved with Palestine are considered
to be terrorist organizations. I don't know much about the organizations. But if this group was involved in supporting them, then surely they were aware that they were involved with some group considered to be a terrorist organization. That would explain the raids.

7. Also
Not just Palestine organizations but also socialist/marxist groups (ANSWER, ISO, etc.) and anarchist collectives, as well as environmental groups.

9. The question may boil down to how you define words like "supporting" or
"involved." The Supreme Court has recently defined "material support" in such a surprisingly broad way that Jimmy Carter could now be accused of lending "terrorists" "material support": http://www.democracynow.org/2010/6/22/headlines#7
And determining who is a member of a "terrorist" organization is pretty tricky in this case, too; in Columbia, there is a lot of overlap between labor rights groups and the FARC.

11. By contemporary standards, some of the Zionist militias in the war of 1948
Would be considered terrorist groups. So you'd be ok with the FBI raiding AIPAC?

5. Here's the plan.
These types of attacks have been used by the FBI in previous years against other organizations involved in legitimate protest activities.

The object is to disrupt the organization by seizing assets and causing the targeted individuals to incur financial losses due to costs related to legal expenses, court appearances, travel and lodging. The cases usually turn out to be bogus and the the targets, in most cases are acquitted or the charges are dismissed, that is, unless the target cops a plea.

It's all about intimidation. Terrorist threats inside the US, in the vast majority of cases are from the reactionary Right, not the Left.

6. Even though we don't with agree with everything, we can agree that this police state must end.
And that all federal law enforcement needs to be purged of it's right wing thugs.

8. FBI Gestapo, under Obama no less
Great - the people of Honduras democratically elect a leader while the US sends the military officers tons of money. The army overthrows the government at the behest of the few dozen families who own all the land in Honduras, and the US funding of this new military dictatorship continues. Meanwhile, journalists, union leaders and opposition politicians are killed ever day. All of this happened under Obama incidentally, who was sending their military the money and continues to do so.

The same thing happened in Haiti with Aristide, and in so many other places.

These people talk to the opposition in these countries. The ones whose democratically elected leaders were forced out by gunpoint. For this they are called terrorists.

I don't know any of the people raided, but I know someone who knows a lot of them. The guy I know is an old 1960s anti-war hippie. They have a video of one of the raided progressives, Mick Kelly, on Youtube. The "terrorist". It is not ridiculous, it is sick.

Meanwhile, as Wikileaks revealed, death squads with US soldiers roam Afghanistan killing civilians. Just like the CIA did with the Phoenix Program in Vietnam.
