New Rule, do not allow Andrew Breitbart and Amy Holmes back on your show EVER again to ruin it. Or if you're going to allow them on, bring on a liberal that follows what the hell is going on well enough to at least call bulls**t on the Kenneth Gladney story.

Bill Maher allowed the two of them to basically filibuster the entire first half of his panel segment. It was pitiful. And when they lied, he didn't know enough about the issues to call them on their lies. Bill, if you want a fair and balanced show that lets both sides get their points out there and there's an actual debate between liberal policies and right wing talking points, then bring on some actual liberals who follow what the hell is going on to call these liars out that you decide to bring on your show. I've got about a mile long list of names I could give you if you'd like any recommendations.

Maybe if you want to make some amends next week for giving Breitbart a pass you can go back and read this post on Breitbart's Kenneth Gladney lie if that's not too much trouble for you to spend some of your precious time doing some research.

Faking victimhood: Just how hurt was that supposed victim of SEIU 'thuggery'?

The bigger issue is why you think it's necessary to keep bringing these liars back on your show who you don't agree with and don't follow issues well enough to counter their lies. You're as bad as Jon Stewart as much as I love him as well with falling for the false equivalency game where you pretend you're being fair by giving the liars on the right a format to present their views as somehow a balance to those on the left. There's telling the truth and then there's lying to the American people.

You gave Andrew Breitbart and Amy Holmes a huge format to try to appear sane, balanced and let them lie to your audience and your viewers with way too many of those lies going unchallenged. I think that's just shameful. I don't mind a real debate where they get called on their B.S. and it's debated. You didn't do that on your show tonight and you let them talk over your guests that tried like Carl Sagan's wife Ann Druyan who was lucky to get a word in edgewise without being interrupted. And I don't know what the hell was wrong with Seth McFarlane tonight but apparently someone tied his tongue. I know he didn't agree with what Breitbart and Holmes were saying for the better part of the show but instead of attempting to call them out he sat there and let them rail on instead and just looked disgusted. Pitiful.

1. The Friday program is a result of a lazy producer, lazy scheduling, and an ambilivent Maher.
It felt like he "called in" his performance and that he was more interested in his Sat. gigs in Las Vegas.

Seth McFarlane I love, but not Friday night. He needs to lose the coffee cup and bring his game to the program, nor not appear.

2. Ambivalent? Absolutely.
His trashing of Democrats and the Administration are transparently presented to attract independents and Republicans.

So also for his Republican guests. Breitbart was allowed on without even a mention his lying and deceptive attack on Mrs. Sherrod that cost her her job.

Fuck you, Maher. If I can talk my wife out of skipping your show that's gonna happen.

4. The Fail is strong in that clip...
First fail - Bringing Breitbart on and not immediately asking him to defend himself for the Shirley Sherrod slimfest

Second fail - Maher not challenging the assumed default lie - "Most Americans are against Obamacare.."

Third fail - not forcing Breitbart to site his source for the statement that "70% of Americans do not want Obamacare..."

Seriously Bill, the one thing that sets your show apart from being an hour long comedy skit is the challenging of guests to back up their positions and having some form of substantive debate. If that element is going to be sacrificed to attract future right wing liars and sociopaths like Breitbart to appear on the TV machine with you then I will pass.

5. Just caught the rerun..
I'm really pissed that this fraud - Breitbart - was even considered to be a guest let alone given a forum to spew his garbage.
The only reason for bringing this POS on is to expose his many lies to the audience. This wasn't even addressed.
If the right won't watch Real Time, why would the producers of this show insist on enraging their core base of viewers?
Bad move.

What half the people on this post said? I've got a few people on my ignore list.

Never mind. I think I can guess the gist.

7. Maher's big mistake (and he does this constantly)
is to invite right wing liars on his show, and not having enough information himself to be able to properly contradict their lies. It makes it seem like the republicans are right, when they are just pulling things out of their asses.

10. Wrong. There is a well know expression that it is better
to be silent and let people think that you are an idiot than to speak and confirm it for them. I think that, although Brietibart is definitely worthy of shunning, it would be just from the left side. The Right will give him Carte Blanche to spew his lies and hate filled rhetoric. What I think is better than Shunning him is to put him on liberal talk shows where the guest is knowledgeable enough to call him out on his bullshit. I thought that Bill Maher's show was one of those forums, but I was clearly mistaken. It would be ideal to have had both Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow on that panel.

9. I am happy to see that alot of people did not like the show
Normally I love Bill Maher and I was actually happy to see that Breitbart was on because I thought that Maher would hand him his ass when he started spreading all of the bullshit and propaganda that he normally spews. Sadly, Maher just let him get away with just about everything. Maher is a favorite of mine because he tells it like it is and does not let people get away with the kind of crap that he let Breitbart get away with. At the end of the show, I was thinking "Was it just me?!" and maybe I am being too sensitive since I have been following breitbarts lies for so long. At least I see that I am not alone in this and that other people feel that this was pretty shameful.

11. He should have
asked about the phony edited videos he's made that have hurt people.
Did anyone notice how Breitbart looked uneasy whenever homosexuality was raised?

12. I can only yell so much
yet that yappy woman would never shut up!

Her and Breitass exemplify the tactic of constantly talking over others to make your point.

Never again Maher! Like the others said, I will not tolerate this crap in my house.

I have the last say! CLICK! New rules! No more right wing bullshit!
