1. Yes, and then at the end of it, he said he was wrong to want Colbert to leave |
|
and apologized for it.
Surprised me as well to hear his initial rejection, but thankfully I saw it on a video that whole thing so was able to hear him change his mind later.

6. Colbert was invited to testify by the subcommittee chairwoman, |
|
California Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren. I have never heard a republican member ever ask an invited speaker from one of their own committee members to simply stand down and leave the room without giving testimony. What was Conyers thinking?

7. I wish I knew. It was a total asshole dick shitstain move. |
|
I'm glad he redeemed himself at the end, for fuck's sake, it was a goddamn stupid thing to do, especially in the current political climate of hate, fear, soundbites, assholery, and other unethical and downright immoral behavior of the Republicans. Certainly don't need to add to that by attacking our own who are trying to offer some fucking perspective for decent, God-loving, Jesus-following social justice issues offered directly in the face of the unchristian faux-"family values and other bullshit I have too many Martinis in me to offer as a litany but believe me they exist and are obvious as shit for anyone who believes Jesus' words about 'whatsoever you do to the least of these you do to me'".

2. Why was Conyers being such a jerk? |
|
SO what if the 'pug members weren't there. Why did that matter? Why should a spiteful political minority be catered to?
Conyers should've packed it in years ago. He's go no fight left in him. All he knows how to do now is cower.

Damn straight! Wasn't it his committee that got moved to Storage Room B a few years ago? Loved that bit from "Office Space," not from Conyers.

You can't pull THIS kind of a move and still have any courage left.
What possible reason did Conyers have to be PANICKED by the idea of Colbert testifying?
If this clip wasn't cowardice, what the hell would YOU call it?

4. Interestingly also, Conyers left HIS hearing on election fraud in Ohio when Clint Curtis testified! |
|
He had to pee...
So again...WTF?
