4. Part of what puts me off is Joe Biden. As a choice, he surprised me. |

2. The administration really doesn't get it |
|
I'm not faulting them for not getting everything I wanted, I fault them for not even trying to do what's right. If we ended up with the health care bill we got because we fought for "Medicare-for-All" and lost the battle in the court of public opinion, then I'd be fine with sucking it up and acknowledging the political realities that this is the best, most progressive legislation we're going to get. But conceding battles before they're even fought is guaranteeing defeat. Who is going to be fired up to support leaders who won't take a stand and fight for what's right?
Yes I will vote this year, but I can see where there's a lot of frustration. Even if we don't win every battle we fight, we should at least show up to every battle to show our resolve.

...If it wasn't for the extremeness of the Republicans/Tea Party, a lot less liberals would be planning to vote this November.

8. Joe is 1000% correct !!! GO JOE !!! It is virtually EXACTLY what Cenk, Big Ed, and Howard Dean |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-28-10 06:20 PM by RBInMaine
have all said. The primaries are over, and while legislation has been imperfect is HAS been PROGRESS against the total obstruction of the R's. And Cenk, Big Ed, and Howard Dean have ALL said that progressives need the hell to VOTE because the R alternative would be disasterous. It is a no-fucking-brainer.
