This W.Va. ad may be the ugliest of the political season so far

A group calling itself the West Virginia Conservative Foundation is running this appalling spot against Congressman Nick Rahall, who has served W.Va. since 1977.

Basically, it's an excuse to plaster the word "Arab Americans" in red over a clip of Rahall, whose grandparents were Lebanese immigrants. Scary music is also included.

Rahall's opponent is a Republican named Elliott "Spike" Maynard, a former WV Supreme Court justice who was voted out of office for his ties to Don Blankenship of Massey Energy.

This ad started showing up on TV here today. I guess we can expect reasonable, moderate Republicans to denounce this blatant appeal to bigotry ....well, probably never.

This is the kind of rightwing garbage we're up against.

I always get scary Muslims confused with scary brown people.

Can't we get these people to wear national ID cards or something? Maybe give them their own housing section in cities? Their own water fountain in public places?
We really must be more diligent in integrating brown people into our world. I even have a brown friend!

6. Moderate Republicans voted for Obama while NO Republican has ever been elected without "Democrats".

I voted for Kerry, too. Reagan was elected with "Democrats for Reagan", Nixon with "Hardhats for Nixon" and the racists, the vast majority of racsists that will vote against Rahall will call themselves "Democrats" over beers at the VFW. If Obama isn't re-elected it will be because of racsist Democrats, not moderate Gop. Get a grip on the truth, please.
