That may well be why this wasn't funny to me. It's like fan-fiction or the new Star Wars movies... it's not the real deal, and not enjoyable. I "got" all of the jokes in the cartoon, but they just didn't do it for me. How do you explain why some comedy works for some people and doesn't for others?
