I loved talking politics with my granddad who was a real lifelong Democrat.

His take: Kennedy was the last real President we had. (Carter was too religious. lol)

grandma chimes in: He was such an elegant man (lol again).

It's a real pleasure watching him tell it like it is here, taking monied interests head on and giving the American public credit for being informed adults.

3. But that policy/attitude would mean he's anti-American
Edited on Tue Oct-12-10 09:34 PM by Maccagirl
anti-business and OMG a "commie".

On Edit:
As has been stated before: JFK wasn't just assassinated, he was executed (in broad daylight). As far as I can see, every president since has "learned his lesson".

8. Interesting
I was watching an older documentary on Money, on "Free Speech TV" last night. It seems that every(?) President that suggested we change our current monetary system to stop the control of the Banksters, was assassinated. I don't know if President Kennedy suggested this ( it was almost over by the time I switched it on).

11. On June 4, 1963 JFK issued Executive Order #11110

basically stripping the Federal Reserve Bank of it's power to loan money to the U S Government with interest. Outrage among the elite class ensued...

12. JFK Commencement Address at American U. (06-10-63)
You can't have the President calling out corporate executives and speaking of peace.

9. The steel execs weren't funding Kennedy's election campaigns.
Sen.Kaufmann of DE admitted he could call out Wall St. and the banksters
because he wasn't running for re-election.

7. Very nice toon.
If I recall right, Kennedy later named names, calling out a few steel execs by name, exposing them personally to public contempt. He also pointed out the national security implications (there's a lot of steel in every tank).

And the end result was, the steel execs backed down and rescinded their price increases.

10. He came very close to nationalizing the steel industry. I remember the times and they weren't
Camalot until after his assasination. He may have made a great leader out of the difficulties that were in front of him but he was fighting hard against a right wing US and he didn't get the chance.
