On her HLN show Thursday, Joy Behar explained to viewers why she walked off "The View" during a heated conversation with Bill O'Reilly earlier in the day.

"Today on 'The View,' Bill O'Reilly had a real pinhead moment," she said. "First he said a mosque should not be be built close to Ground Zero here in New York, and then he said this."

A clip rolled of O'Reilly from that afternoon: "Muslims killed us on 9/11."

"Well I was really angry," Behar said explaining her walk-off. "I thought he was saying something that I construe as hate speech, frankly."

Behar hosted former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura for a discussion on the situation. Ventura did not mince words when it came to O'Reilly or his Fox News colleages.

"He's a spineless puke," Ventura said of O'Reilly. "The whole Fox won't have me on. The nighttime guys. I call them the three stooges, and we all know which one's Curly. If Glenn Beck isn't Curly Howard's kid*...I view him and Hannity and them as the Three Stooges, because if they can't intimidate you, they won't have you on."

3. Thanks. I will watch the Ventura clip - won't watch O'Lier. Almost gagged when they
showed a couple seconds of 'it' in the Ventura clip.

6. When a lot of people were calling Ventura a nut, I held off and am..........
..............glad I did. He had some screwy ideas, but overall I think the guy was what I call a "true believer" meaning he believed in his "ideology". For a politician he has been pretty honest sometimes being too honest.

8. Both Jesse and his three stooges are in the same business: truthiness
there are things to admire about him but thoughtfulness is not one of them.

19. I don't believe in conspiracy theories
I'm content to believe there Bush was not behind 9/11, that there was no plot to kill JFK, and the oil spill was not intentional (or whatever the hell he was saying).

I was a criminal defense lawyer for years. There was always a piece of the puzzle that did not fit. That didn't mean my client was innocent.

My greatest problem with conspiracy theories is that people do not have a good track record at keeping their mouths shut. I know, I know, that why they said Jack Ruby killed Oswald but there are other answers that are just as plausible. And if 9/11 was an inside job, there would have had to be many involved. It would have leaked. IMHO.

It the same reason the right believe Obama was born in Kenya. His aunt, it an interview that may not have been translated very well, said she was present of his birth and she has never been out of Kenya. Given all the other evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii, isn't it more likely that she did not understand the question or her answer was not translated well? I think so.

20. Thoughtful - perhaps, correct about crazy conspiracies - no
I've heard of tests that have show that conspiracy nuts are actually more intelligent than average. Jesse Ventura is anecdotal evidence of this. He he brighter than all of the Three Stooges combined.

Jesse Ventura sees the evil and corruption in Washington DC as part of some great conspiratorial master plan. Some folks benefited by 9-11 and were quite happy about it. But that doesn't mean they planned it. Common sense based on evidence indicates otherwise.

This is from Wikipedia concerning the aircraft that hit the Pentagon:

'Airplane debris including Flight 77's black boxes, the nose cone, landing gear, an airplane tire, the fuselage, and an intact cockpit seat were observed at the crash site. The remains of passengers from Flight 77 were found at the Pentagon crash site and their identities confirmed by DNA analysis. Many eyewitnesses saw the plane strike the Pentagon. Further, Flight 77 passengers made phone calls reporting that their airplane had been hijacked. For example, passenger Renee May called her mother to tell her that the plane had been hijacked and that the passengers had been herded to the back of the plane. Another passenger named Barbara Olson called her husband (U.S. Solicitor General Theodore Olson) and said that the flight had been hijacked, and that the hijackers had knives and box cutters.'

Considering aircraft were also witnessed flying in the WTC's, including one on live TV. It's quite stupid to claim that aircraft Flight 77 don't crash into the Pentagon, let alone no aircraft at all.

25. Yes, I also hear a lot of BS, including conspiracy theories
But, the counterintuitive results from a study concerning intelligence and conspiracy belief I heard on the 'The Skeptics Guide to the Universe' podcast. I consider this a reliable source. Unfortunately there are almost 300 episodes, so I'm not looking for the reference.

I believe it probably referred to people more like Jesse Ventura that actively promote the conspiracies. People that casually fall for the conspiracies can't be that bright. At least Jesse Ventura is actively conscious about the world. The study didn't say that they are geniuses, which Jesse Ventura clearly is not.

10. Great, Jessie
Fox News is a sham, and you put your finger on the problem. It is always necessary to stand up to spineless bullies--they become jellyfish.

18. Jesse is a punk
He's a broken clock on this issue, but for the most part he's the 4th stooge.

He's a bully, I've seen him storm out of interviews where he couldn't bully one of the hosts.
He stretches the truth about his time as a 'SEAL'
His conspiracy show is devoid of any entertainment of intellectual value.
He's a truth-er.

23. I like the bit about corruption
Unless the entering politician becomes corrupt he or she will get nothing done. Carter had really great intentions but couldn't ethically get anything done. As far as I know he has never really talked about this through any of the books he has written. Maybe as he dies he will let the ball drop.
