1. What was more fascinating...Mika being told to shut him down.

I saw the rant live this morning. It was indeed awesome. But after Dylan went of for a few minutes, leaving everyone else too dumbfounded to speak (and speak against the GE Corporate Party Line, as was Dylan) Mika said the producers were in her ear telling her to move it on and change subjects. Dylan struck a little too close to home this morning, me thinks.

He acts like he is in either  deep thought or   remembering
some deep heart felt  conversation he had last night at the

shooting a few  game pool ,while relaxing after a hard day of 
of work ..The sad realty is he not the voice of  the middle
class  or Joe the unlicensed [plumber or  any one else..And
Any taking points or comment that come out Mike Barnacle is
rehearsed and scripted  .He  has horned this  ability to
appear to be spontaneous  and I'm just like you type of guy in

NINE YEARS after the explosive start of it all - someone on national TV says it like it is. Truly amazing. Amazing that they let Dylan have his say. And IT WAS amusing to see the others round that desk all blinking in disbelief! LOL!

Dylan's a marvel and Rachel is too. Whether or not they're stepping over the suggested boundries of corporate influence, only time will tell. You can say what you want about GE, but they've got my attention with the pundits (and purveyors of truth, like Dylan, Rache and Keith)they let us listen to.

41. I Started Watching Dylan When He Was On At 9:00 AM In The Morning Several

months back and really liked him. Then, he got his show at 4:00 PM which was even BETTER. THEN, he started having Cenk on and was covering some very important and intelligent issues. Now, he seems to be getting more and more coverage and I think he's hitting on issues that really need to be investigated and actually prosecuted!

Back when he was first coming to the attention of many here at DU and other places, ONE of the BIGGEST Boggers here called me out basically telling what a LOSER he was. She then proceeded to make reference to the fact that essentially I TOO was a loser because I had previously supported John Edwards and in effect saying my track record was pretty POOR! As I recall, there were MANY, MANY here who supported Edwards so I let it go. I have NEVER put anyone on "ignore" nor do I get into big arguments over and over. But what was so offensive was that this person had NO QUALMS about telling me that I had no creditability and her parting words... we'll see who's right and also insinuating that I WAS the one who would be eating my words in the future.

I love RACHEL and think she too is one of the brightest and best there is on MSNBC. I also love Keith and know in my heart he really cares about this country and what is going on. The only problem I have with his show is that I don't really like his "worst persons" and "odd ball" segments even though sometimes there are some interesting tidbits from them. IMO, I would like him to drop them, but it's his show.

Anyway, I think NOW many here realize what and where Ratigan is coming from. His background from CNBC is very helpful in his reporting and for the most part he knows what he's talking about. Even if at times he does have some Repukes on discussing various issues. The information he tries to get from them is at times pretty revealing and I for one am glad to see that he is ACTUALLY getting good reviews. He's a pretty smart DUDE.

So for the person who called me out, well maybe THIS time I get a check in my column. Sorry you had to be so hateful and mean, but then I've seen you in action many, many times acting the very same way. It IS a shame that some think they MUST be an "attack dog" most of the time. This is one reason I don't post as much here anymore. Not because I fear being attacked, but because alternative views just aren't allowed by some people here and they feel a NEED to do a WWE Smack Down on most occasions.

59. Just An Alternative Take Which May Be Of No Consequence, But Given

that he's been popping up on other shows and asked to give his views, could mean that they might be thinking he's an asset. I recall the emergence of Chuck Todd, although not one who was very "wall street" savvy, he got good scoops in D.C. and look where he is now.

I've been watching Ratigan from the get-go, and have seen him tell a guest that he didn't want to talk to them anymore because they were uninformed or weren't forthcoming. I'm sure MSNBC got complaints about his aggressiveness, but I haven't seen any backlash. The incidents I saw were some time back and he's still around. I mean he may only have so many "chits" to play with and then he's gone, but on the optimistic side (I DON'T DO OPTIMISM) MSNBC may need the ratings and he's a good counter balance to the likes of Beck.

He seems to be a scrapper and a SMART one at that. I really liked David Shuster and they tanked him rather quickly even though he seemed like he was on the rise. He was with MSNBC for a while too. I miss him. Where did he go?

Anyway, if visuals are in play here, Ratigan certainly gives off the aura of one who doesn't take crap lightly. But CORPORATIONS with lots of money can buy a lot of silence. AAAHHH, my cynicism has returned!

that is the best fucking explanation of the true nature of the "War on Terrorism" I have ever heard on TV.

He pointed out that the media is not allowed/encouraged to make the distinction between Muslims and the small group of Muslim extremists that make up our opponents in the war on terrorism. Why are we and the media discouraged from making that distinction? Again, Ratigan says it without actually saying it - because the war on Islam is the only possible excuse for such a massive conflict. If the governments says "Oh, there are only a few terrorists, the rest of Islam is perfectly peaceful toward us." Remember, Bush said it a few times, and Obama has said it, but since then, it is seldom heard. All we hear from the right wing media is that all Muslims are the enemy. If the contrary is widely understood then there will be no fucking excuse for this massive transfer of wealth to the Military Industrial Complex and its subsidiaries. And that is exactly what is going on.
