Given two chances, Rossi can't name anything he would cut from the budget |

1. None of them can. You'd think the question's come up enough times that they would come up with |

2. A person who holds these three views; |
|
a) taxes are bad b) deficits are bad c) programs shouldn't be cut to reconcile a & b ... is a lying idiot.
Period.

And allow indies and fence sitters to vote with a clear conscience.
It's part of an attorney's bag of tricks; plausible deniability and reasonable doubt that the other side has the best answer.

4. frankly, I wish she'd just ask the question point blank |
|
I'm really tired of any politician who has the need to introduce a question with a two paragraph statement, and even more annoyed with an idiot who gives a 5 paragraph non-answer.
I wish that Jesse Ventura would jump into the Democratic Party, even temporarily as an advisor, and start kicking some butts around to weed out the mealy-mouth chatterboxes on both sides of the aisle and start publicly demanding short, straight answers from all our elected officials. The public option. Wall Street giveaways. Education reform. Job programs. Ending the wars, for real & not just in name. etc...

If the Republicans actually named programs they would go after - specifically and concretely - they would be screwed. We all know what they are going to go after, and it is not going to be corporate subsidies.

6. Just like all the rest of them, they're going to cut "fraud, waste & abuse" |
|
They can't give a single example of that "fraud, waste & abuse."
Must have been on the RNC talking points memo last week.

7. When are the Dems going to respond? |
|
The upper 2%, those upposed job-creators, have had these tax breaks since, what 2003? Where are the jobs?
Now these same upper 2% are trying to blackmail us into giving them more tax breaks so they will create jobs?
It seems that the only jobs being created are overseas. Or on Wall Street if you've got enough connections.
At least she turned his answer back onto him, but then she wasn't given a chance at rebuttal of his new lies.

This is what corporate-funded government produces: two candidates who can't formulate a question or articulate an answer. Suggesting that one or the other is more appealing is sheer delusion.
Patty Murray, erstwhile 'mom in tennis shoes,' is a monotone embarrassment to people of conscience. Dino Rossi, who's 90% criminal, can't even regurgitate the lies his handlers fed him.
