The gift that keeps on giving :)

Delaware U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell and Chris Coons debated again, and it didn’t get any better for Christine O’Donnell, who previously showed herself to be unfamiliar with the First Amendment. This time, when asked to name someone on the other side of the aisle she could work with, she couldn’t name one, but was able to identify Hillary Clinton as a former senator. Then, as Coons was speaking she suddenly remembered the name of a Democrat: Joe Lieberman! (Which she blurted out as though she had Tourette Syndrome).

1. Umm...umm...Hillary Clinton.
To her credit, she did know that Hillary was no longer a senator. For added fun, I wish they'd asked her what Hillary's new position is.

4. Yeah, but ...
Edited on Thu Oct-21-10 02:56 PM by Tx4obama
a couple of weeks ago she said something about Hilary that sounded like she thought Hilary was 'still' a senator.
I think O'donnell's aides caught that and updated her on Hilary's new position ;)

Btw, (at the 30 sec mark) I wonder what makes O'donnell think that she will be on the Foreign Relations Committee?

8. I've never seen so many presumptious remarks by the media & the GOP
before an election as I have this year. Most infamous one to date was the boy king guaranteeing a victory with that smirk on his & Jeb's faces.

I've been privately betting to myself that there are going to be a number of questionable election results this year due to Turdblossom's involvement. I hope I'm wrong.

15. I wondered that too -- how does one get on a Committee? Does she think
all Senators from DE are on the SFRC? (Are they?)

He's not in the Democratic Party, Ms. O'STFU.

Also, who says she will be on the Foreign Relation committee? It's not a given, Ms. O'STFU!!

16. No. She couldn't name one she could WORK with
I'm the last one to defend Christine O'Donnell, but I can see this accusation blowing up in our faces when the Right creates a red herring by correctly pointing out that O'Donnell was simply unable to cite a Democratic Senator with whom she could work.

Is she capable of naming any current Democratic Senators? Maybe not. But this question didn't prove things one way or the other.

6. The Right Wing love fest over Hillary Clinton is so phony!!
All of the sudden they LOVE Hillary Clinton? Yeah, right. This attempt to divide the Democratic Party and open wounds from the primaries again.

They also LOVE Bill Clinton. "Why can't Obama be more like Bill Clinton?" Yeah, right. The media and the wingnuts HATE The Clintons and are only pretending NOW to love them!!!

It makes me so sick because I know what they're doing!!

9. Dumb Like Me- a marketing strategy
Believe it or not, many people are okay with this. If your not you're just an elitist. The dumber a candidate acts, the more far right support they get.

We don't need no godless sochlism, jist git rite with jebus!

"joe-kay joe-kay" Christine O'Donnell

Let me talk about Congressman Castle's vote on cap and trade and that is why he lost the election.

Stupid on steroids. Running down a person from your own party in the general election?

17. At this point Coons has nothing to gain. He's just doing this to help other races
I think he figures if he can keep O'Donnell talking, more and more people will understand what tea partyers are like and may be more skeptical of voting for them once they enter the booth.

20. She couldn't answer as concisely as Coons
and so she deflected with a right-wing talking point that's repeated to DEATH on the teevee...

He is intelligent and articulate and makes the witch look stoopid at every turn without getting personal.

21. In addition, O'Donnell cannot stay on topic.
But, I have to admit, takes one to know one.

I also have to discipline myself to stay on topic. DUers have often chastised me for getting off topic.

It's one thing to do that on a blog like this. If someone doesn't think that what I am saying is relevant, they don't have to read it. But it is quite another thing to get off topic when you are running for office and given precious time on a TV show.
