Members of the Free State Project (a right-wing libertarian group on par with Ron Paul and the Mises Institute) are planning to move the next 1000 people to NH by way of a caravan in the next 11 months.

2. My guess is they are trying to take over local government
With the aim of taking over the state so they can make it a "free" state.

6. Let me see if I have this right. Sarah Palin has just taken over the GOP across the country.

She's got her goon Joe Miller up in Alaska as her proxy and he'll probably win, she's got other Tea Party people taking over all over the country. One little comment by her and money floods in to any GOP candidate anywhere, everybody in the GOP is afraid to buck her. She's going to win the New Hampshire primary in 2012. Republicans in NH are very right wing to begin with. Even Pat Buchanan the Nazi did pretty well up in NH when he ran against the first President Bush when he was a sitting president.

So what exactly do these people accomplish by stacking the GOP voter rolls in NH with more of the same reactionaries?

Of course, NH is a nice rural place to bury your guns, ammo, canned goods and survival gear. Plenty of fire wood so you can live off the grid. And if things get antsy the Canadian border is right there. And if anyone tries to take away the victory from Sarah, all the fellow travelers will be right there to back her up.

Besides. If Sarah likes canning salmon up in Alaska, she'll probably enjoy making maple syrup up in New Hampshire. She may not be from NH, but she's a "syrup alien" for sure... (Sarah Palin ... Syrup Alien ...)

Besides. Less than half the public water supplies in NH have fluoridated water. That means that half the state does NOT have a communist water conspiracy. That's good news.

Don't forget. Palin and the Palin-bots are winners.....

8. NH is a mini-Mass at this point
I grew up in NH and I can say that it's one of those states which - to quote another New Hampshirite - talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. Oh yeah, NH has no personal income tax but property taxes are nuts depending on which town you live in. Also, all those Boston commuters, whether they be aligned more with the left or right, love their comfy government. Even right-wingers want a powerful state, not really to serve people through things like universal health care but to protect their property. NH is libertarian in name only.
