no sense of irony over the founding fathers having used town halls to pass down news and take up popular opinion. We openned the door. It wouldn't have been too dificult to out put ourselves out there like Jon Steward's campaign for moderation in discourse. We could have out civiled them but instead we allowed ourselves to be cowed. We are a majority and we needed more town halls, not less.

It's not a surprise that extremists are "embedded" in the Tea Party, they "blend in" very well among other wingnuts. But it is surprising Essence Magazine had to hire an "outside journalist" because they don't even have a token white journalist on their own staff. Hello? Essence Magazine....2010 is calling. Either do the right thing and hire one or get better at P.R. so you don't make an idiotic statement saying you have to "go outside the magazine" to get white people.
