4. So true. I would have ended the conversation differently even. |
|
It would have been a bit more like....
Dennis, it is always great talking with you. Fuck you, Neil!
It is so sick to see how gleefully these people speak about the idea of money being taken from Social Security.

Cavuto did nothing but try to ram talking points down Dennis' throat. Dennis handled it very well. He's a true hero and a patriot.

He was my first choice for President in 2008. Dennis managed to get in, very effectively, some very strong points to counter Fox extremist corporate propaganda. Social Security is just fine with no tweaks until 2036. Can't remember them well enough to list here, but Dennis managed to hammer in some facts near to this liberal posters heart.

What's up with piggy boy and those shoulder pads? Is he trying out his Orson Wells Halloween costume? Honey, do these shoulder pads make me look fat?
Every time Denis said something reasonable all he did was narrow the argument. OMG Denis is offering solutions that would help but not tax the middle class. Solutions! We can't have that kind of narrative. I have to frame this in a biased and partisan way. Fox news the Muslims choice for news.

10. It must be tough to get on these shows and face the pressure |
|
because I see politicians who are much better communicators than myself, struggle to get a message out over the braying and topic shifting tactics of asshats like Cavuto.
It seems so simple from my POV - Just take control of the conversation, stop Cavuto in his tracks with a sharp comment about letting a guest finish answer #1 before being hit with question #2, and quickly pivot back to set the record straight on the original topic.
"Neil, I'm sure it makes for good television to hit me with a 2nd question before I've answered the first, Neil, but when you claim that Government regulations are the problem in one breath, and then claim that Democrats are to "blame" for relaxing Wall Street regulations in the next breath, you really need to stop the rhetoric, take a DEEP breath, and ask yourself whether you really support deregulation of Wall Street, or whether you just want to throw some scat against the wall in the hope that you get some on the Democratic party. On second thought, the question you should really ask is directed toward your viewers, and is very simple "Why in the world would you ever trust the Republican Party with your economy again after they nearly buried us during the Bush administration? Ask THAT question Neil"
Yeah, it must be tough to be on TV, otherwise why would so many Dems get so twitchy under the heat, when it's so easy from my couch?
