8. This group has been around for 30 plus years I'm pretty sure...
I remember seeing them for the first time when my oldest son was a newborn... he's 33 now.

Los Angeles is always ahead of the curve:)

11. If it HAD been on MSM TV 20 years ago, many young men and woman would...
still be alive!

I think we need stuff like this on the MSM.... gay men, living in harmony with women, and children, raising children as responsible adults, loving each other (and music) as men and women and children are naturally born to do.

You have to teach a man (or woman) to hate.

7. They've come a long way!
I remember back in the late 70's or early 80's they used to perform in L.A.... they were always so grateful that my little theatre group would consistently show up! Many performers in the chorus were also in my group of players in Long Beach. Summer Rep was a gas! They performed at the March on DC too. They also did work with the Long Beach Aids Quilt.

This gives me chills... in a very good way.

13. Yeah, sharing your chills, in a good way. I first saw the LA GMC in
San Diego when I lived there.

The SD GMC and the LA GMC, both in concert together... It rocked my world. That was 20 years ago.

9. OMG!!!! So many fags in one room, happy! unashamed! ENJOYING THEMSELVES!!!
RUN AWAY RUN AWAY!!!

:sarcasm:

Boy these "It gets better" bits must just make homophobes squirm. Their whole justification is that being gay will somehow destroy your life and those around you. Seeing gay men and women living their lives without any more pain and suffering than anyone else, seeing them interact in normal ways to straight people who are not homophobic just makes their gay=bad fantasy world crumble. Must be unnerving.

16. Yeah, sorry, it was really obscene, ugly and despicable, how DARE I dare .....
post such people who actually sing so well together !!!!! Gay men, making the world so beautiful...

:sarcasm: :sarcasm:

well NONE OF THE STRAIGHT MEN AND WOMEN SEEM TO BE

doing much to make it a great place to be.

We need more gay men and women's concerts and less elections.

Mandatory gay men or women's concerts once a month, elections once every few years. Works for me.

10. That is a really great addition to the project. I think it fits in well.
It shows that things really did get better for a whole lot of different people. By example, the best way, it shows that things can get better.

I hope kids see this video and see someone that they think resembles themself in one of those smiling faces in that crowd. Someone they might grow up to be.

Or maybe they just see a room full of friends they'd like to meet.

Either way, the video helps. :)

21. Rolling on the floor, that was WONDERFULLY FUNNY, I am on the East ...
Coast, and love how irreverent people can be at Harvard, and Yale and Princeton and Dartmouth...

I bet this was done somewhere around the holidays, in Boston.... Love those Boston holiday concerts, worth a month of December in the New England area, at least a great concert once or twice a week.

But that was fun, and I hope you start a thread about that clip on about December 24.

There is no need for gay men and women to align themselves with politicians who promise them something and then walk away.

Sad but true.......I'm hoping for our first openly gay man or lesbian woman presidential candidate, maybe like 150 years or so after liberation of those folks...........Obama did't get the memo, "liberation means EVERY one!"

her dear friend that died of AIDS, and for all GLBT supporters, like she has been her whole career, and GLBT people.

I cried when I first saw this on the DVD.

25. you're very welcome. and yes, there's plenty I wished I didn't waste my time on seeing, but Cyndi,
what a treat she is, and so talented. She appears on "Bones", a TV show. She's so good at everything she does. She just put out a Blues CD, after putting out a Dance CD 2 years ago that had 2 #1 dance tracks. She's a blessing to those who are judged, and has stood up for her fans for decades. Tell me a band you like that I may not know, I'd be glad to listen to anything. I like nearly everything.
