David Brooks is something that is all too rare these days, a reasonable and principled conservative. He doesn't just take a diametrically opposed view to everything the Democrats say just because they are Democrats.

Edited to add: But he's not on Faux, so this will fall upon deaf ears if and when the conservatives hear it.
