Now, I'm aware that some may mistakenly applaud those responsible, so I want to set the record straight. There is nothing laudable about endangering innocent people and there is nothing brave about sabotaging the peaceful relations between nations on which our common security depends.

There have been examples in history in which official conduct has been made public in the name of exposing wrongdoings or misdeeds. This is not one of those cases. In contrast, what is being put on display in this cache of documents is the fact that American diplomats are doing the work we expect them to do.

2. I am glad you don't get to decide on what bravery is.

And maybe what you expect them to do, is not what they should be doing. really don't know why Hillary is getting in the middle of this, not really any of her business.

7. She's Secretary of State. The cables are from the State Dept.
Who else would comment on them? It is 100% her business. She is in charge of U. S. diplomacy. That's her job, for goodness' sake.

9. No reason for it to be locked. It's Hillary speaking.
That's information. Insulting messages can just be deleted. Discussion about what the Secretary of State said seems appropriate enough to me.

5. Reporting demeaned, actions not. Smoke and mirrors with the priorities.
Enjoy your karma, Hillary.

6. This is what the Secretary of State has to say.
America got caught with her pants down in a major way, and the ongoing revelations are causing lots of unrest all over the world.

And she very clearly states there's nothing laudable or brave about "endangering innocent people" or "sabotaging the peaceful relations between nations". If that was Wikileak's intent, we could see this as condemning everything about Wikileaks. But I don't see that as their intent, and their stated goals are laudable.

8. She says the release exposes no wrongdoing and that's false.
Yes, she had to say it. And it's not true.
