I love Al, trying to keep up the good fight.

6. I agree. Franken is courageous and a fighter.
I adore him :)
Somewhere along the line though, many of the other members of the MAJORITY party (drip drip the sarcasm)lost their spines.
I wish we could count on sane people hearing Franken's voice and making sane decisions. But the insanity and self-serving runs too deep in the heartless *friends across the aisle* and the ridiculous amount of...DUMB ASS...sheep that they herd grows DUMBER assed every day.

He is saying it, it is true, but those who hear him just don't give a big enough CRAP about the real people of America. He sounds tired because he must be deathly tired of the narcissist, souless creeps that permeate the *other side*.

12. Even worse in the Senate, he has Sanders and maybe two others. Rest are sell out
conserva-dem's.

7. Bernie Sanders Speech
Edited on Sat Dec-04-10 07:46 PM by Steve_I_Am
Thank GOD for Al Franken and Bernie Sanders. Here is Bernie - AMERICA'S SENATOR - giving it to the greedy bastards in the GOP with both barrels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcLWDGb0RqA. I have already forwarded it to the White House. I hope everyone on DU will, as well.

As a newbie, I don't have primary posting rights yet. I didn't see this on the Main Page. I hope someone will post this to the main page for all to see. This is Bernie at his firebreathing best!

4. I'm not religious in ANY way
But I feel "blessed" to have the likes of Franken in DC. He's a role model for what SHOULD BE as our representatives.

One of the top three sharpest men in the Senate. Love the guy.

14. Al Frankin, a man on his way to greatness.
All those who recognize this with their support, are the winds beneath his wings. All of us windy folks must do everything we can to push him and those like him further aloft....or we are doomed to letting pugs play us for suckers add infinitum; to take from us all the things we value and hold dear.

15. Bechtel and Price Waterhouse Coopers = small corporations
What a hoot. Not many mention this atrocity at all.
Poor Al pleading for help from those who have absolutely NO heart at all.
- In many ways, it's like Bush never left. Their 'in your face' attitude
of continuing to take and how they rightfully deserve it.
If you have any other opinion - you're un-American!!

16. Put a hold on it.
We need one Democrat with guts to put a hold on this crap and don't let it through the Senate.
If the Republicans can do it why can't the Democrats.

18. Isn't it absolutely insane that they don't?
By the way, didn't you think Grayson would automatically get re-elected?
He had so many people on his side I can't believe it. Smells damn fishy to me. No one talks about it.

17. Best part of all is when he throws the New Testament in the face of the evil Repug "Christian"
scrooges:
You know, I'm Jewish. So I don't know the New Testament all that well. But I know Matthew. "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of my brethren, you did for me." I went to a union hall not long ago. Building trades. A carpenter came up to me. Big strong guy. Rough, calloused hands. Tears in his eyes. He had gotten just a little bit of work here and there in the last 18 months. He said to me, "I never took unemployment before. I hate it. But if it weren't for my unemployment insurance, I wouldn't be in my house."

20. Thanks so much for posting this..
really needed to see something inspiring at this point. Franken said something that is so basic-that every economist knows, but that you'll NEVER hear on the TEEVEE- unemployment is an economic stimulus-for every dollar paid out , you get $1.65 in stimulus. If they really wanted to stimulate the economy, they could immediately send out checks to everyone unemployed. yeah, right like that could ever happen.
