I really enjoy watching Bill Maher point out just how f*cked up this country is. Led by a bunch of yokels. Couldn't have said it better myself.

The rest of the world IS laughing at us...trust me.

4. Maher needs re-tooling
For someone that for 20 years has offered trenchant and hilarious observations on politics, Bill Maher constantly trips over the fact that America doesn't have an opposition party.

What else explains the fecklessness of the Democratic Party, and their similarity to the other part of our narrow political spectrum?

Posturing about Obama's performance, and it is a huge act to keep the groundlings from going ballistic, is pointless. Who cares about his personality? Where's the obvious, decent policymaking, the kind that doesn't require a microscope to differentiate from what Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell want?

Maher plaint covers the policy angles, but he isn't yet up to admitting the Party is a Trojan horse.

6. Maher has pointed out many times...
... that America doesn't have an opposition party. He even says it in this interview (not in so many words). He said it when he was on This Week with Jake Tapper a few months ago, and other interviews he has done.
