In the last few weeks, TV screens across the country have been showing images of people like George Bush and Sarah Palin seemingly nonstop. But they aren’t talking about their crimes or complete lack of political knowledge – They’re talking about their personal lives, what they do in their spare time – Basically, they’re allowing these monsters to appear like average Americans, just trying to get by in life. Mike Papantonio talks with political satirist Matt Filipowicz, who’s been keeping an eye on how the media is attempting to humanize these right wing figures.

2. It's actually a 2-stage process

The first step is to dehumanize enough people to form a receptive critical mass. That way the monsters don't need to be fully human to be accepted. It's enough to look human and be able to hoot the appropriate alarm calls. The prepared sub-humans respond and soon they are all leaping up and down and hooting the same calls.

3. One of the newspapers

reported that some teen age girls were crying while standing in line to have their book signed by Sarah Palin. Asked why, they said they were so thrilled to meet the woman who is their idol.
