Methinks there's too many people in the smoke-filled room who are hoping the trial, if it comes, will prevent Assange from further exposing the inner workings of the sausage factory.

I know that for a lot of people a conviction will mean that Wikileaks loses credibility etc. But i don't buy it.
How does the Apache helicopter video become less important? How does the embassy cables become less important? I find it worrying that people actually think that way, that they don't trust Wikileaks as an organization, if he gets convicted.
That's what the people running the campaign against Wikileaks are hoping for.
I think this shows a tactical mistake my Assange. Wikileaks should be a faceless organization, something invisible and under the radar. But he has become their poster boy, and so he has given them something to attack. Himself.
