3. I was telling my hubby about this one
Thanks for putting it up. All of our progressive talk people have denounced this but none so damningly as Mike Malloy.

5. You were hating on Lionel and Ed Schultz, now Malloy.
Never answered my question in that thread about whether you liked Christie, since he was the only one in that video you didn't bash. Now you're expressing your distaste of Malloy. (At least with Malloy, there's no way in hell you can say he's not a liberal.) But hey, I'm sensing a pattern here. So why don't you go find somebody you do like and come in and share something positive instead of infesting/injecting/dejecting/depressing other people's threads with your negativity?

8. my distaste
You have a point. I do leave too many negative comments.

Malloy, Schultz & "Lionel" are all media characters in my opinion. Their outrage often seems like an act. I don't think of their approach as being very progressive.

Do I really need to answer your question about Cheney's apologist, Ron Christie?

21. Indeed...
... when one defines "progressive" as "moderate conservative" sure, I could see how Malloy's approach would not fit that definition. Your definition may differ a "tiny bit" from the accented meaning of the term though.

14. I agree....
.....I am fed up with the negative shit that comes out of this man's mouth. I used to get caught up in his emotions, but now I am sic of this whiney little shit. He makes me ill and I bet he is turning others off too !!

This dumb ass and others like him do not understand the integrate maneuvers that Obama must do. This weasel...a whiney one at that has no patience and will alienate everyone into chaos. I could see in Bill Schulz eyes that he was upset with him too.

Enough said by me.

20. I love posts whining about people who whine...
Apparently distaste for dissent, runaway projection, and the assumption that ignoring a problem makes it magically disappear are not exclusive to the republicans any more.

LOL, bipartisanship achieved...

7. Excellent, Mike. In one fell swoop, Obama gave away 700 billion dollars
to people who collectively do not need the money nor will they use it at all for the purpose intended--creation of jobs. Concurrently, with the 2% cut in Social Security deductions for 2011, Obama has opened the door for the future de-funding of Social Security. This temporary reduction will NOT be covered by the general fund regardless of what has been stated, and when the stimulus does not work (the US does not make anything but war materials anymore) further cuts to Social Security will be made much easier as the sacrosanctness of the fund will already have been breached once again. For this to have been done by a Democrat president is unconscionable. This will be the main talking point in the Republican campaign for president in 2012. The sadness this has made this Democrat of 46 years has no comparison.

11. 700 billion dollars AND my vote
Barring a dramatic turnaround in Obama's approach, I will not be voting for him in 2012. He is a Republican in progressive clothing.

It may not have had the all the desired effects, but seriously, how can you call it a give away?

23. The TARP was just one part of the bailout.
There were infusions of trillions of $$$ at almost 0% interest by the Fed. I'd say "free money" fits the category of "giveaway."

The couple of billion bucks from TARP the government made were indeed good news. But those a couple of billion do not quite offset the cool trillion(s) the Fed pumped concurrently with TARP.

27. I'm talking about the value of the maintenance of the tax cuts for
the wealthy--not the disposition of TARP funds. The Banksters made money on TARP funds through investments. The is what the rich will continue to do. What jobs will be created under Republicans? The main thing is the beginning of Social Security de-funding.

This 'decision' by the president is more far reaching and egregious than is readily apparent right now.

28. Yes. People just don't understand what is being done here. It is
infuriating. They somehow think they will be able to put the horse back in the barn. You do not want to be 50 or younger and be counting on Social Security. It will not be there.

15. I have to have council with Malloy 950 AM radio every day
Is the only voice that keeps me going. Now there are more voices since Ed, Hartmann, and local talent are starting to understand how serious this all is. I subscribed once though I'm not a pod person yet. I had such hopes that the Left would finally have their turn on the pendulum, including a fairer shake on media outlets, but Obama/Washington has done nothing to sustain- let alone promote- the liberal ideology. Mike gets it.

16. But Bob Shrum says we're wasting our time.
I really want something to come from this.

We are now being told that we HAVE to give the billionaires their tax breaks —or else.

I'm sick of Washington insiders (like SHRUMMIE), all keeping their places and reaping milllions, on the promise that we all STFU.

22. Malloy is truly one of the great ones, sharp, clever extremely witty informative, passionate liberal
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 03:08 AM by GreenTea
Most here are so fucking frightened of a true liberal they absolutely shit in their pants...pathetic fucking jokes, pontificating clowns...without a motherfucking clue - they disgust me, these fucking moderates fence sitters, which ever way the wind blows, chumps, or is it clumps of know nothings - complete Jack-offs!

Cheers to you Mike, and truly a sincere thanks dude!

Only a truly greedy ignorant selfish fool would support the idiot Bush's TEN year, DEFICIT raising, NO jobs produced, NOT paid for, UNFAIR tax cuts for the very richest 2%.

The same 10 year tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% that have actually caused a reported hundreds of thousands of lost jobs - Proven the rich who are doing better than ever in the history of the world - obviously are just socking their money away in off-shore accounts, certainly not spending or investing in our economy - if the rich do invest, it's in other countries using slave labor wages, out-sourced American jobs and corporations down-sizing jobs for even larger profits.

The 2% of the richest certainly don't need the huge deficit busting Bush tax cuts to be extended - they care nothing for this country or the people - like all republicans they just despise paying any taxes in our society that they've used and fed off of with tax cuts, government subsidies, bankruptcies and bail-outs that has made them rich & greedier than ever before and more is NEVER enough.

Remember the Republicans just voted AGAINST the Democratic bill to give tax cuts to 98% of the American people, a tax cut for anyone making $250,000.00 or less, but the republicans demanded a huge tax cut for the richest 2% who are already doing extremely & substantially better than ever before. Still, the republicans voted down the tax cuts for 98% of the American people instead.

ALLOW the Bush tax cuts to EXPIRE right on time just as they should on December 31st 2010
