AP, Reuters and NBC in particular have decided to stop using the word whistleblower when talking about the WikiLeaks, after they've been calling WikiLeaks a whistleblower organization for months.

1. MSM is just a tabloid tool! I hope Americans eventually
wake up and get deprogrammed from MSM.

2. A whistle blower exposes wrong - Wikileaks just exposes any interaction it can get its hands on

3. True that. They're not whistleblowers.

5. Excellent analysis.
Tom Paine and Benjamin Franklin must be turning over in their graves. Tom Paine knew how to keep the secrets of Washington's army and bare those of the British warlords.

We have a First Amendment for a reason. If the press is too frightened to print news that is of no real strategic importance just because the government does not want them to, where are we? Why did our American revolutionaries fight and die? Where are our values?

8. Coming from RT, this is about as hypocritical as you can get
I really wish people here wouldn't swallow this stuff. Large sectors of the Russian media have been bought/manipulated/intimidated by the Russian government, which has little interest in or respect for actual democracy. On TV especially, Russian news outlets are little more than government mouthpieces. Now the same people that have brought about this situation in Russia are telling us (in English) that our media is worthless and kowtows to the government? It's almost impossible to grasp the depths of the hypocrisy.

Please DU, don't buy the hype. RT is propaganda.
