4. You're welcome! It is very good to see young people
become aware and I loved this kid's speech. It gives me hope for the future. I have a lot of hope that young people care and will change things lately. After a lifetime of having me as his mother one of my kids finally went with me to an anti-war march a couple months ago. Now whenever I ask him if he's heard or read about something in the news, he almost always knows about it already and I couldn't be more pleased. And I had a conversation with another son's friend last week that simply amazed me, that guy knew as much about what is going on in the political world as people on DU and he and I agreed about everything. He said he was so glad he finally talked to me because he's always arguing with his dad and his friend's dad who are staunch republicans and make no sense voting against their own interests. Young people aren't all about video games and selfishness, more and more of them are waking up to see the world we live in and they want to change it.

7. It reminds me of our youth in the 60's of which I was a part. Not caving into the
demands ... even though called bums and some killed at Kent State. I like to think we tried to make society better for awhile, casting off the conservative shackles of the 50's and back, and the endless war back then, and the conservative societal norms then.

8. I was there too
and I'm still standing up! The conservative sheep then, are the conservative sheep now and they still disgust me. It's far past time for another movement and the rumblings are slowly beginning. They thought they could do it to us back then, now they are trying to do it again. Looks like I will be out in the streets again.
