2. I mentioned in another post
Lieberman asked Petreuas 3 questions today, all about IRAN, and about the possibility of invading.

Lieberman is one of the worst persons on a daily basis.

3. With Rove and Gonzo on the outs....
Lieberman is a good bet for the eternal #2 spot behind O'Liely.

Lieberman seemed to push hard to go after Iran today and seemed disappointed when Petraeus seemed to deflect any forays into Iran for now.

5. And Al Gore picked him for a running mate
That's the one thing I've got against Al. What the hell was he thinking?

6. It was a stupid unity play
A few in the party establishment pushed him to embrace Liberman to appease the huge element of the DLC and as an effort to reach out to repugniks. Of course the establishment overestimated the DLC's actual pull and effectiveness and was still giddy from the Clinton-oid triangular politics schtick rather than actually being Democrats.

The funny thing about triangulation. I think Sun Tzu posited it first in "The Art of War." And Kissinger put it forth in Diplomacy. Neither of them had recommendations for using it against oneself or against ones own people. It was always a course for attaining what your nation or people wanted through leveraging negotiations.

This is why conservative democrats and the DLC can go jump of a peir in my mind.

And one more thing, where are all the pro-joe people that would occasionally spit out post here now anyhow?
