This was shocking to me. This was after Desert Storm. Westmoreland's words and the behavior of some at this CA victory parade were alarming.

"When the US crushed Iraq the first time in 1991 the government staged Desert Storm Victory parades in dozens of US cities. General William Westmoreland proclaimed a great PAX AMERICANA that would last a thousand years! But we knew better. This prophetic little doc, hailed as "provocative" by the LA Times and July 4 Video Pick of the Week by the LA Weekly ended up being broadcast by only 50 PBS stations nationwide. It was banned by most for its unblinking look at how war hype and propaganda pull on the masses. A must see for true patriots."

odd how the liberals were absolutely, completely prophetic in their belief this was only the beginning. What was with the USA chant, and the Sieg Heil salutes at the end? Or were they holding flags? Looked pretty much like a Nazi rally to me.

And that discredited fascist idiot Westmoreland takes the cake. He was personally to blame for the flawed military thinking in Vietnam, and turned out to be one of the worst battlefield commanders in American history, yet this idiots cheer him?

How much you want to bet the dimwit with the "Freedom isn't Free" on the back of his shirt was a chickenhawk who never served in the military.
