Of course, I won't disagree that US Representative and Senator are high-paid employee (annual salary $174k/year). But I disagree that it is a proper comparison with the Bell City employee.
For the Chief Administrative Officer in Bell City, his salary is almost $800k/year (twice as much as the President of US). For the Police Chief in Bell City, his salary is $457k/year.
For the salary of US Representative and Senator, they are high, over-paid, and should be under control, but I don't consider it is a crime..... yet. But for the Bell City official, I consider that they committed a SERIOUS fraud. They were getting salary that's beyond the level of "high-paid". They are just using their authority to benefit themselves.
