and made me look up his age: he's only 71 (unless he's being coy and lying about his age, like some prissy dowager). Can that be true? When I was in my 20s, David Frost was still in his 30s? I guess so. It's me that's gotten old, I guess.

Frost destroyed Nixon in the last leg of the interview.
The only ones who helped make the way for the return of the Republicans are the American public who still vote against their own interests, and the stupidity of the Dem party who seems to panic whenever the GOP is against the ropes and in danger of irrelevancy.

8. What we now know and see as the RW media immediately tried to declare victory for Nixon |
|
it planted the seed of "He won" but he didn't win because he couldn't.
The movie is a movie version of course but it shows that in the end, when Frost actually stood up to him, Nixon was a house of cards.
The young guns in the College Republicans and YAFFIES (Young Americans for Freedom) were Rove, Norquist, and Abramoff. They paid their dues talking it up amongst themselves and holding gatherings.
The RW immediately rewrote history, immediate history, and now they run the US bubble media.... but they don't like Nixon - he was a liberal in today's skewed context.
