On an exclusive Fox News interview with Julie Banderas on America's News HQ, McCain expressed support for the Obama tax cut compromise. Cenk brings up some blasts from McCain's past:

"There's one big difference between me and the others: I won't take every last dime of the surplus and spend it on tax cuts that mostly benefit the wealthy." (during the 2000 Republican presidential primaries)

"...I am disappointed that the Senate Finance Committee preferred instead to cut the top tax rate of 39.6% to 36%, thereby granting generous tax relief to the wealthiest individuals of our country at the expense of lower- and middle-income American taxpayers." (on the Senate floor during the debate over the original Bush tax cut plan)

Human Events (yes, that horrendous superconservative rag) compiled a list of "John McCain's Top 10 Class-Warfare Arguments Against Tax Cuts". Both of those quotes Cenk got are included, and yes they're for real, not forgeries. As McCain used to be a moderate Republican before the 2008 election the conservative establishment really didn't like him; that's why Human Events was compelled to publish such a list.

1. At the end of the day
it really doesn't matter that we call out the hypocrisy of the republicans if the people who vote for them don't care.
