1. Why would someone burn a car that's up against a building?
Probably because they want to burn down the building. That's criminal madness!

Europe is in turmoil. One of those countries breaks out into riots every other day.

3. Luckily buildings over there are made of stone and brick, not cheap ass plaster made in china

In the big scheme of things; forcing tens of millions of people into de facto poverty in order to pay for the financial schemes of a few really rich people, who will actually be rewarded by getting richer out of the crisis they created, is a far bigger criminal act than the destruction of a top of the line mercedes. Which unlike people, it is obviously insured and can be easily replaced.

If only the people of Europe were like Americans and just stayed home watching dancing with the stars in between 14 hr work days, just like nice and good people do...

4. You're justifying vandalism and arson?
The car may or may not be insured. And if it is insured, it's probably only insured for the depreciated value. Also, the car is right up against a building. That large and that hot of a fire can easily spread into the building. It's craziness.

6. I dunno... are you justifying the impoverishment of millions in order to enrich the super wealthy?
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 01:13 PM by liberation
See, I can play that game too.

PS. Glad to know where your "concern" priorities are: the well being of a late model mercedes.

7. Red herring
You haven't played the game right. The cause of the protests are irrelevant to the methods of protest.

What point does destroying the property and lives of the "impoverished millions" make?

Do you see the building burning down and the possible cost in lives and destruction as a reasonable protest?

8. Well yes, technically your posts are a collection of red herrings.
As for me, I don't feel like fish today, and any side dish of straw you can conjure is not going to change my appetite for today.

LOL...

BTW, regarding the fate of that late model mercedes, sadly it looked like a total loss so I dunno if you will be able to sleep tonight.

9. I'll sleep well knowing that I stood up to those that justify violence, arson, and vandalism.

10. LOL. I'd assume the smell of all that rotting herring would keep you awake....

I know that fallacy comes very easily to the super concerned, but I am just fascinated as to figure out how exactly did you "stand up to those who justify violence, arson, and vandalism?" All that you have stood for thus far in this thread is the well being of late model Mercedes S-class sedans.
