6. Dick Cheney...
'Vice President Dick Cheney's stock options in Halliburton rose from $241,498 in 2004 to over $8 million in 2005, an increase of more than 3,000 percent, as Halliburton continues to rake in billions of dollars from no-bid/no-audit government contracts.

An analysis released by Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) reveals that as Halliburton's fortunes rise, so do the Vice President's. Halliburton has already taken more than $10 billion from the Bush-Cheney administration for work in Iraq. They were also awarded many of the unaccountable post-Katrina government contracts, as off-shore subsidiaries of Halliburton quietly worked around U.S. sanctions to conduct very questionable business with Iran (See Story #2). "It is unseemly," notes Lautenberg, "for the Vice President to continue to benefit from this company at the same time his administration funnels billions of dollars to it."'

2. Have any of our candidates ever mentioned this?
Has this even been an issue with the Democratic party? I had already seen this written but when you listen to them speak about it and see what they are doing it just makes me sick!

3. This enrages me
This enrages me. We need to stop War Profiteering now.

This came out back in May. I heard about it briefly on the TV, then it was buried. It makes me sick... literally. I haven't been this angry since Katrina.

Call your representatives . End this war profiteering now.

Peace (Maluhia)

8. if this criminal war profiteering had occured during World War 2
FDR would have seized Halliburton as a war profiteer. Truman called these profiteering companies traitors. We need to seize these companies now, and distribute the proceeds to the families of American soldier casualties, and Iraqi victims.

10. Grr
Nationalize the SOB's and send those responsible for this to prison.

Seriously when you defraud the goverment for that much friggin money how can you honestly expect to get anything of it back? They will just declare bankruptcy. Seize all of their assets. It really is the only option.

What gets me is somehow my speaking out against the war is somehow construed as "not supporting the troops" but this crap is considered patriotic? What a bunch of crap.
