1. Tugs at my heart...

I'm completely fed up with conservative blast emails and stories told in coffee claches about the "undeserving, lazy bastards" who are living off of "their money"....

Reagan's WELFARE QUEEN lie has been given new life and is passed around conservative circles like an article of faith among the conservative brotherhood...

and it's a f-ing lie!

The problem is that there ARE NO JOBS...

A recent position opened up locally for which we usually get maybe 10 applications.....we got 113....among them were PhDs, Masters degrees and former production line workers...cover letters stretching reality to the limit accompanied those resumes' trying desperately to convince the screeners to give them an interview..an interview and a CHANCE that they might fight off unemployment, maybe foreclosure, maybe repossession, maybe hunger...maybe even suicide.(no I'm not being dramatic! If you've ever been unemployed for any length of time you know how the feelings of worthlessness, betrayal to your family, and hopelessness can set in...)

The 99ers aren't a bargaining chip...they're real people.

2. You know

whenever I hear someone share what you just did regarding over 100 showing up when normally 10 do, I get so freaking pissed and wanna scream at the top of my lungs. Whenever I hear an asshole right winger claim 'this is the greatest country in the world', I wanna rip out his fucking throat! The reality is that we are in a depression - plain and simple. The super rich class has declared war on the rest of us and we have to deal with that accordingly.

If you don't believe 'xxxxx' then you're un-American. Or, your un-American to be support 'xxxxxx'.

Makes me want to kick their groin repeatedly.
