What's important is that the Commission is bipartisan and that we "reached" out by letting the republicans place completely lunatic wingnuts on there. What any of them say or do or come up with or put out there just really isn't important. What's important is is the "aisle reachiness" of it all. I suppose we should care what gets put out there by a commission that our president put together and how it will undermine the message of the Democratic party or really just any message in general. But it's just so hard to be upset with that when we can instead bask in the bipartisan goodness of it all.

as long as the Democrats say exactly what the Republicans want them to say. If not, they hold their breath until they get their way or take their toys and go home.

This is as wedge issue-y as wedge issues get. You're either for this or against it. How can ANYbody who works for a living not see what unbridled plutocrats Republicans are?

I'll take an educated guess that at least one will either deny this is true, and one will continue to tolerate this in the name of rugged individualistic "values" and the hope we'll become an evangelical theocracy if he keeps supporting Republicans.

I'm fired up as hell now and am going to bully-pulpit this to every one who tries to talk politics with me...as forcefully as these brash pushy neocon assholes.
