1. Good capsule, however, |
|
if Rush et al are against it because they want more money for the rich, won't the congress and WH just say that proves it is a good bill, as both sides are unhappy? Isn't that the argument the NPR makes about its so-called impartial programming?

2. I think Jim Middleton of Asia-Pacific put it best when he said |
|
"So if I advocate throwing puppies and kittens off a bridge into the river and I get outraged letters from the left and the right my idea must have some merit."
-Said to Howard Kurtz of the Wash Post in 2006 when Kurtz was defending the work he'd done by saying he'd been criticized by both the right and left.

that we seem to have shifted more to the right under a "Democratic" president with Dems in control of the House and Senate? it is a acary thought but maybe we would have been better off with McCain as president, at least the Dems in Congress would have been united in opposition to him.

5. I have thought the same thing. Under McCain Social Security would |
|
not be coming down, like under Obama. And I think McCain would have tried to separate the bills. But McCain would have done the same thing on the spending bill. I'm glad I got this off my chest; I have been thinking this for a long time now.

8. Have you been paying attention to McCain in the Senate? |
|
He is pretty much a teabagger now, plus he seems to be losing his mental capacity.

4. The rich have suffered so much. |
|
I am glad for them.
And thank God that damn wall came down between Social Security and the General Fund, now the republicans along with their compromising Democratic friends can gut Social Security to their heart's content. Thanks for turning Social Security into an expenditure.
Thanks Obama and all you compromising fools for doing God's work. Well done. Take comfort that someday the rich may suffer no more that is if we work together like this again. This is beautiful.
