1. A "coalition of the reasonable and courageous" would be welcome in the Senate.. Rep. & Dem. alike.

The senator is correct in stating that the Constitution as well as other important social institutions erected post WWII are in need of a renewal and re-dedication. I fear he is mistaken when he states that he "hopes not" to the question of persons in power today needing to face their own "war crimes trials." They will of course not face such war trials, we can but "hope" for a criminal trial. However we should "hope" for justice in any and all case.

3. I agree

with you on the trial issue. When Keith quoted the remarks made by Dodd's father at Nuremberg and then came out about those responsible for Iraq are not tried in a court I was confused. On one hand, accountability was important (Nuremberg), on the other it is not (Iraq). All the while the "rule of law" was being touted.

IMO Bush and his cronies should all stand trial.

I emailed Sen Dodd and await his reply.

5. Pity the general public does not appreciate an

intelligent man such as Chris Dodd. Presidential material? Yes.

6. Unlike the goat rodeo of 2003

the group of Democratic candidates is really distinguishing itself as statesmen -- important voices speaking at a time when these voices are most needed.

In one sense it doesn't really matter which of them is elected President in 14 months. We will need all of them on the team to repair the damage the the neocons have done to this world.
