3. Het Chris, no questions on how Aqua Velva, cigar smoke, ladies man smelling Markos Malitsas is?
interesting how narrow, focused and direct the questions become when democratic guests are on as opposed to the boot-licking of rightwing loons when they are the bill of fare....

4. I agree, but I was gratified that, for once, he didn't have some conservative on
to oppose these guys, for "balance" and to have "the last word." And he seemed to come around to their point of view, which is something for Tweety. I can barely stand to watch him, these days, but I was sorry that I missed this great segment when it originally aired.

5. Tweetie has been softening
I've noticed that he, Scarborough, and Abrams have been leaning more toward the left. I think they've been taking note of KO's success.

6. He's often puzzled me, since I know that he worked for Jimmy Carter,
and was effusive with praise when he had him on. But, during the last election, he would ask who in the crowd was supporting which candidate and would say, like he was disappointed, "isn't there anyone here for Bush*?":eyes:

Abrams seems to be taking the lead from Olbermann, but he's in charge now and has to appreciate KO's ratings. Scarborough seemed to be softening, as well, but seems more like his old self now that he's on in the morning instead of following Keith.

BTW, MSNBC just said that Keith will be anchoring Bush*'s speech tonight. This should be good...

7. OOOH OUCH
KO anchoring Bush's speech? And I LIKE it!

I don't know much about Abrams, except I stopped watching him years ago because he acted as though his job was to share his opinion on everything--couldn't deliver a straight news item without putting his 2 cents in.

As for Tweetie and Joey, my personal opinion is that they are way more lucky (to have the jobs they do) than they are smart.

That's what MSNBC said and they didn't mention a co-anchor,

like they usually have, like Tweety, who thinks KO is hysterically funny, or Scarborough, who comes off better when he's appearing alongside somebody like Keith or Ron Reagan... I'm really looking forward to it and, since it's on at 9, it will directly follow his show, unless they have a "pre-game." I liked it much better the time that Keith followed Bush*, since he really went off on that speech, refuting every point. That was GREAT!:woohoo:

I never much went for Dan Abrams, either, since his previous show just picked apart legal cases. But he has grown on me, seems to take a wider view of the world and I think that his new job agrees with him. :-)

I don't much care for Tweety or Joe, either, but sometimes they surprise me. Like when Tweety was effusive in his praise of Jimmy Carter, my president, or when Joe revealed that he had a bust, or something, of Bobby Kennedy in his office, that RFK was one that he admired most and that he could appeal to anyone of any political stripe...:wow:

16. Yeah, I read that on another thread. *sigh*
But then I watched it and KO had a whole slate of commentators, including Rachel Maddow, who is always excellent...:-)

8. That was phenominal!
It just goes to show that they know their stuff! They were asked some seriously hard questions, showing that the interview was not set up to hold their hands at all and they plowed right through! It is always wonderful to see the people who are public voices for us who are well informed and well spoken!

15. So glad you liked this, PianoBlack!
This issue has gotten a lot of coverage on cable news ever since Giuliani took out his full-page NYT ad which criticized the MoveOn ad and attacked Sen. Clinton for her failure to condemn it. I wish that they'd replay this segment, or at least a part of it, to educate people and get the attention back on the Gen. Petraeus's failure to report the truth on the ground, rather than giving the publicity to Giuliani's nonsense...:-(

Welcome to DU, PianoBlack! We're very glad to have you with us! My friend turned me on to DU, too, back in early 2003, and I've since brought several friends...:toast:

10. For ONCE....a smack down clear picture for the public to watch...
..instead of all this "right (aka bullshit) left perspective" act. I am so damned tired of giving the neocon spokespersons a voice to toss shit in the air and smoke up the issue.

I just drove from Chicago to Cincinnati this past week...and they have russ limpballs on at least one and often two or more radio stations...and nothing on the left wing. This media blitz is keeping America in a deep slumber. It's time to shake the bed.

Disclaimer...there is an Air America network in Chicago...but from there on...nada!!
