PS---It's public knowledge that I work for TYT. I announced the hiring when it happened, videos of me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaAz4D8m4LI|co-hosting> have been posted on DU (not that last one since it's about fantasy football) and my public profile reflects that. I'm going out of way to mention this because those who hate the show here like to bring it up as if it's a secret when in fact the opposite is true. I was on DU literally years before I was hired by TYT, and guess what? I posted TYT videos back then too because I was a huge fan of the show (and still am).

or takes the time to read your profile.

IMO, the fact that you're being paid to promote Cenk and TYT here, should be made clear whenever you post about Cenk and TYT. It's like when an "advertorial" appears in the newspaper with a box around it labeling it as advertising, so that readers are made clearly aware that it's not news or editorial content.

7. Let's be clear about something

I wasn't hired to promote Cenk and TYT at Democratic Underground. I posted TYT videos well over 2 years *before* I was hired at the end of 2009, because again, I was/am a huge fan of the show. Feel free to use Google to confirm all of this. In fact I insist so that you can stop speculating and making baseless claims.

There are people here who refuse to respond when you ask them if they work for (for example) the White House. I'm thinking of one case in particular that shall remain nameless. He/She just gets your question deleted, and he/she sure doesn't list their employer in a public profile. And look, it's entirely possible he/she just loves the administration and has no direct connection, or maybe it's both. But I think answering direct questions and having a public profile is a reasonable standard.

Of course I know you're going to demand that same level of transparency and unrec threads and comments from those who post overwhelmingly positive things about the administration (while strongly attacking criticism of Obama) on a regular basis, right Sid?

but you've volunteered the information that you work for Cenk. If another poster confirmed that they work for the White House, or FDL, or Fox News for that matter, then yes, I would hope for the same transparency from them. To my knowledge, that hasn't happened, but maybe you know something I don't.

Whether or not you were supportive of TYT of your own volition before, the fact is that now you're paid to promote TYT. I think it's important for posters to know that, when you post about TYT.

You see, that's kind of the whole point, I post as a fan of the show. It's not like I was out of a job and randomly stumbled onto TYT at which point I started posting at DU. I loved the content and Cenk's presentation which eventually led me to work for him (he wants people who genuinely support the content). That's not the same as someone who hawks gold or promotes a candidate they disagree with because they're getting paid to do so. In fact it's completely different.

At any rate, I understand some have a personal beef with Cenk/TYT because he's critical of the Obama Administration in a way they find to be obnoxious and or counterproductive. It's fine to have that opinion, but attempting to undermine my credibility (or his for that matter) rather than directly addressing the flaws they see in Cenk's points is the real issue.

which is more than I can say for the some of the sock puppets and trolls that post here. I for one want to thank you for basically introducing me to him. Unlike other people that post hoping to influence the base for their own reasons, Cenk influences because he is something others are not-sincere, he's the real deal. He is also something the MSM whores and shills are not-honest. I know what he is and where his values lie, but I know he will root out the truth as best he can and calls them on it.

Again, thanks for introducing me to him and I am happy you were hired. It is nice to get the job of your dreams, or at least the one you like and believe in. Real sincerity can be picked up on and translates to integrity, again something that some folks here know nothing about because they don't posses it.

Thanks for posting this video and for letting us know when he's on MSNBC. He reminds me of my uncle John who got me interested in politics when he'd come to the house and rant and rave about Nixon in the '70s. It's nice to see that he's getting some recognition these days (Cenk, not uncle John!).
