9. Yves is a brilliant woman. I have been a fan for a LONG time.
No idea what her politics are (I think she leans Libertarian), but from an economics perspective, she has been blessed with a gift of breaking down difficult concepts to where we can all understand it.

Her site is nakedcapitalism.com if you are interested in her work.

:hi:

3. Really disheartening.
There is no economic justice in this country.
How can they get away with this stuff?
Depressing.

16. The problem is that once things get bad enough, they wont "get away "with this.
Not if history is stable, they wont. It wont be pretty either.

Just saying..............

6. Blatant freaking robbery.
People should just sit in their homes, I swear, and refuse to leave. This cannot stand.

7. Thanks for posting this
I've been trying to tell Mr Z that banks are taking homes from people who have never missed a payment, but did not understand exactly how they were doing it. This will be helpful.

11. If they are holding the payments until they are late,
isn't that a crime? The mortgage holder kept their part of the bargain.

15. Credit card companies do it all the time. I caught Chase charging a
late fee when they cashed my check 5 days before the due date. They claimed that it took them that long to "post" the payment, and my bill was due the date I received it.

21. To me it seems as though it is clearly a crime
But then again the corporate class has been committing crimes with impunity. It seems that they are now above the law. Hell, it stands to reason since they are now writing the laws.

8. He mentioned recent congressional hearings.
THen she said this hasn't really been addressed.

Was this brought up in the hearings? How do we get this brought up in the hearings? It's utterly nefarious! And it just keeps happening!

10. I have a neighbor who's getting
this VERY treatment, right now. He think's he's "telling them where to get off" when he screams at them on the phone. One day the hammer's gonna come down on him and he won't know WHAT hit him. :grr:
