We're on our own. No message there about hope for the New Year or the joblessness. Too many military accolades. I do not understand how anyone, especially the President, can believe the present day military occupations keeps Americans safe! I'm very cynical....anymore.

I eagerly await the day when we have a President who does not feel the need to pander to religion and instead of invoking God every five minutes actually gets things done to bring equality, peace and prosperity to a nation and world sorely in need of all three.
